Today we are excited to release the videos for the panel “Re-Thinking Psychedelics, Madness & Awakening.” This panel features the following presentations:

  • Nadia Book, 'Valuing 'Madness', Decolonizing Disability'
  • Paul Levy, 'Dreaming Ourselves Awake'
  • Skylar Louttit and Chasse Gibeault, 'Decolonizing Psychedelics + Madness'
  • David Nickles, 'We’re All Mad Here: Rejecting The Delusions of Dominant Culture in Pursuit of Unsanity’

After watching the videos, we invite you to share questions and comments to our panelists via this
form, which will remain open from Saturday February 6th-Friday February 12th. The panelists will meet to discuss your questions in mid-February, and a recording of that conversation will be captioned and posted on the website later this month.

Looking forward to next week, on Saturday February 13th, we will release the videos for presentation panel 2, entitled “Breakdown or Breakthrough? Understanding Experiences of Madness, Awakening and Altered States Beyond Pathology.”

Please also note that forms are open to collect audience questions and comments for the speakers on the following Discussion Panels. We encourage you to submit your questions and themes for the panelists to discuss:
  • Psychedelic Guide and Therapeutic Abuse
  • The Madness of the Gender Binary
  • New Forms of Care for BIPOC Communities

We hope you will continue to join us over the next few months as we begin these timely conversations about the intersection of psychedelics, madness, and awakening!
The PMA Organizing Team.
