Announcing Speakers and Schedule!

1/19/2021

We are very excited to share that on Saturday, January 30th, we will kick off our conference with a pre-recorded welcome from the organizers, as well as a screening of “Excluded: The Consequences of Psychedelic Exclusion Criteria and First-Hand Experiences of People Who Meet Such Criteria.”

Our virtual panels will continue to be released weekly through April 2021. Check out the conference schedule and speaker bios!

In place of live events, we have developed a format for dialogue and reflection that will allow both presenters and audience members a spacious amount of time to sit with the complexity and sensitivity of the conversations we are seeking to have. Our format will also allow for audiences in multiple time zones and with different viewing needs the flexibility to watch and offer questions and comments in a way that typical conferences do not. Read more about the conference format here.

From next week, we will send out weekly updates about conference events. Follow this blog and subscribe to our mailing list to stay updated.

We invite you to spread the word about the conference to your networks via the social media you prefer using the hashtag #PsychedelicMadness2021. Please also invite folks to share and contribute to our GoFundMe campaign. Access to the conference presentations is entirely donation-based, with a suggested donation of $5-10 per event, or $100-150 for the entire series of panels.

We hope that you will join us over the next few months for this multi-perspective conversation on psychedelics and madness that challenges the medicalization of altered states and explores community harm reduction responses to different forms of awakening.

In mad/psychedelic solidarity,

The Psychedelics, Madness, & Awakening organizing team

Erica, Patricia, and Tehseen
